Abstract | To fully unlock the potential of #dronesforgood applications, such as optimising medical logistics and saving lives in urban areas, the operational performance needs to be demonstrated to be as safe as existing air traffic operations. NBEC is a project that aims to gather that evidence through flight trials around Cranfield airspace to demonstrate so-called detect-and-avoid capabilities and works with the regulator to inform the industry of the safety and efficacy of such operations. This talk will present the NBEC project, current status and lessons learnt. | ||||||||||
